Production and transit

Every cabinet is made to order in New York. Your written quote confirms production timing before payment. Production requires cleared full payment, your written approval of the final drawing and workshop confirmation. Transit is separate. Your itemized quote confirms the production estimate, delivery service and expected transit before secure card payment. Do not book installation from a website estimate.

Where we deliver

Our advertised delivery area is the contiguous United States, subject to confirmation for the individual address and access conditions. Alaska, Hawaii and any other destination need an individually confirmed quote before an order can be accepted. Tell us the full delivery ZIP and site restrictions at inquiry stage.

Your written delivery quote

Before you pay, we confirm the delivered price, carrier/service, packed dimensions and weight, insurance terms and any access restrictions in writing. Cabinet estimates do not establish a freight price. Curbside placement, liftgate assistance, carry-in, unpacking, debris removal and appointments are included only when specifically stated in the quote. Installation is excluded.

A wide cabinet may require a different service, but that decision depends on the packed crate dimensions, weight, route and site. A cabinet width alone does not confirm liftgate suitability or room-of-choice delivery.

Prepare the access route

Share stairs, lifts, door and corridor clearances, turning spaces, gates, limited truck access, unloading facilities, building insurance or appointment rules, and the intended storage location before freight is booked. Confirm who receives, inspects, uncrates and moves the cabinet for the quoted service. Tell us about any site change before shipment.

Scheduling and changes

We confirm shipment arrangements and available tracking with you when booked. Carrier dates remain estimates until the service confirms them. Any storage, redelivery, access or changed-service costs and responsibilities must be identified in the written quote. Contact Sound & Oak promptly if the site will not be ready.

Inspect and report concerns

Inspect the packaging and, where practical, the cabinet on arrival. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, photograph the crate and affected areas, and keep packaging and receipts. Ask us and the carrier for instructions if a shipment cannot be accepted safely; avoid arranging disposal or repairs before review.

Report visible damage to Sound & Oak promptly, within 48 hours of delivery. Report concealed damage found while unpacking within five business days of delivery, with your order reference and photographs. Include a tape measure when a dimension is relevant. These requests support prompt investigation; a clean receipt or a missed reporting window does not automatically waive rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. We coordinate the review and confirm the appropriate remedy under our Returns and Warranty policies. Carrier insurance and claims procedures are those confirmed for your shipment.

Payment and drawing approval

Review the full itemized quote, pay 100% upfront through secure Stripe card checkout, then approve the final drawing in writing before production. You may cancel free of charge until drawing approval. After approval, change-of-mind cancellation is unavailable; rights for damaged, incorrect or defective goods remain.
