Terms of sale
A clear agreement, before production.

Using this site
Sound & Oak is operated by the company identified on our About page. This site helps you explore furniture and prepare a project inquiry. Saving a board, using the planner or submitting a form does not place an order, reserve production or authorize a charge. Please use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation or submit information you are not entitled to share.
Your specification and quotation
Our furniture is custom-made to order. Cabinet quotations exclude countertops and sinks. Hardware, delivery and any extras are quoted separately. Your written quotation and specification identify the model, full dimensions, carcass and front materials and thicknesses, drawer construction, runner/hinge and hardware models, requested soft-close performance, mounting requirements, plumbing clearances, options, quantities, inclusions and price. A hardware finish selection does not establish a supplied model or inclusion. Catalog illustrations and AI-generated room studies are planning references, not construction drawings. Ask your installer to verify dimensions, plumbing, wall support and site access against the final specification before accepting it.
Accepting an order
A quotation is valid for 14 days from the date it is issued. A secure card checkout link has a separate, shorter life of about 23 hours from creation. If it expires, contact Sound & Oak with the quote reference. We check its payment status before reissuing a link or quote; do not pay through a second link while an earlier payment is unresolved. Your order exists when you accept the quotation in writing and pay it in full; an inquiry receipt is not an acceptance. Before anything is cut, we send you a drawing of the exact cabinet and ask you to approve it in writing. That approved drawing is the build. Do not submit payment information through an inquiry form; we send a secure payment link with the quotation.
Price and payment
Your quotation shows the cabinet price, separately priced items, sales tax where Sound & Oak is required to collect it (New York today) and delivery charges, all in US dollars. Pay by card through our secure Stripe checkout link. The full amount (100%) is due when you accept the quotation. Production begins only after payment clears and you approve the final drawing in writing. Your quote confirms the delivered price, service, access limits and any potential storage or redelivery charges before payment. If a finished cabinet cannot be delivered within 14 days of being ready because of the delivery address, we charge storage at cost. We resolve any omission or error in a quotation with you before an order proceeds.
Changes and cancellation
Send requests to change or cancel in writing as soon as possible. A request does not itself change an accepted order; we check its effect on production, cost and timing and confirm any revised agreement in writing. You may cancel free of charge at any time before you approve the drawing and we refund you in full. After approval, materials are committed to your order and it cannot be cancelled or refunded for a change of mind. Your rights for damaged, incorrect or defective goods remain. See Returns for changes, cancellations and refunds in full.
Production and delivery
Your written quote confirms production timing and the start milestone before payment. Production requires cleared payment and final drawing approval, with transit quoted separately. Notify us of site or timing changes that could affect delivery. See Shipping for access, inspection and delivery arrangements.
Product concerns and your rights
Report a product concern using the contact details on this site, with your order reference and a description. Our Returns and Warranty pages explain what we need and how we put things right. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If we disagree about anything, both of us first try in good faith to resolve it directly for 30 days; after that, the state or federal courts located in New York have jurisdiction. To the extent the law allows, our liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as installation costs or delays to other work. Nothing on this site excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Site content and updates
Site text, design and imagery are provided for exploring Sound & Oak products. Ask before reproducing them for other purposes. Third-party material remains subject to its applicable rights. We may correct or update this site; changes to general website copy do not silently replace an accepted written order. Keep a copy of the terms and specification supplied with your quotation.
